Candidate Screening and Placement ProcessSince January of 1990, Search Associates has placed some 10,000 primary and secondary administrators, teachers, and interns in international schools around the world. (We now place 1,500 each year.) In September of 1994, Search Associates acquired the International School Internship program (ISIP) from the Overseas Schools Assistance Corporation (OSAC). As a result, Search Associates is now the only organization which actively seeks placement in international schools for large numbers of intern candidates from colleges and universities throughout the United States and Canada. Search Associates serves international schools by providing strong candidates who have exceptional academic skills, a wide range of experience, as well as the motivation and personal characteristics to serve as role models for students in grades K-12. Candidates are rigorously screened. Once a candidate's application has been accepted Search Associates works with the candidate to secure a placement. This includes a special invitation to one of the Recruitment Fairs held in geographically convenient areas around the world. At these Fairs, school recruiters meet with Search Associates candidates to determine whether there is mutual interest and a good "fit" between the two. We keep these Fairs small and the candidate/recruiter ratio very low, assuring you of the best possible candidate pool and the time to interview and get to know them.

NoticeSearch Associates will not knowingly provide services to schools which discriminate against candidates on the basis of race, religion, gender, national origin or age. Candidates need to be aware, however, that schools located in certain countries outside the U.S. are bound by national laws or retirement policies which (e.g.) may prohibit foreigners from obtaining work permits after the age of fifty-five or some slightly greater age. |
