Search Associates London Spring Fair 2014: Easygoing and Effective

"Relaxed and friendly" is how Executive Vice President David Cope describes the bustling Search London Spring job fair, where once again this year around 300 candidates came to meet recruiters from 50 different schools from all over the world --Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

Perhaps the unstressed mood was due to the spring air in London's streets and parks, or perhaps to the faded art deco grandeur of the job fair venue, the Hilton London Paddington, or perhaps to the usual high level of personal support that, for more than 20 years, has become the hallmark of Search Associates. Most likely it was a combination of all of these, along with the good nature of candidates and recruiters alike. One candidate at the event noted,

"Organization perfect - a kind, warm welcome."

Another commented:

"There was a great variety of schools which I thought was fantastic. The organizers were very approachable if we ever needed help. Everything was very clear and well organized. Very professional but highly enjoyable - we thoroughly enjoyed the experience."

This year's success owes everything to the dedicated personal service of David's team: Rebecca Steadman (Executive Assistant in the UK office) and three members of the Deelman family: Harry and Margaret (advising candidates) and Mike (on the technical side).

To date more than 60 positions have been filled, following interviews at the fair. This event is not only the busiest of our late-season fairs, it's also highly productive for those candidates and recruiters who are still actively hunting in the job market at this time of year.

Based on our track record so far, we confidently expect this sociable fair to go from strength to strength in future years.
