It is important for candidates to understand that the fair is only the beginning of the process with Search Associates. When you become a candidate with Search Associates, your benefits include registration to the fair itself, daily updates of job openings with Search schools (550+), access to the data base of schools on the Search website, and access to a personal senior associate of Search Associates to represent your interests in the schools of your choice for a period of three years or until placement, whichever comes first.
To provide maximum "support" and "individual" attention for each candidate, the Search Associates Toronto fair is by invitation only. Our ratio of candidates to recruiting schools makes this fair a candidate friendly event. As a candidate you will be provided with informational about the fair, what to expect when you arrive, along with interview questions to prepare for, what to bring to the fair and additional support along the way. We truly live by our motto, “Spanning the world with a Personal touch”.
As a Search Associates candidate, you are encouraged to attend the fair with an open mind. Flexibility has proven to be a valuable asset as candidates have found opportunities in areas of the world which they may not have considered prior to the fair. What sets us apart from other recruiting fairs is that we work with our candidates year round, long after the recruiting fairs are over helping both candidates and schools in finding the right school for everyone concerned.
Search Associates was a truly helpful group of people who WANT to see ALL applicants get an overseas job. I had applied as "last minute" as one could and managed to secure interviews with schools that were high on my wish-list; however, if it weren't for Search, my current post at Mont Kiara International School in Malaysia would not be possible. My gratitude goes out to everyone from the front lines (Ray) to the backstage (Jen, Mary!) at Search who made the job fair a fun, excting, and successful one! Oh, and I LOVE it here! :)

The Toronto Search Associates Fair was definitely well run and
everybody knew where they needed to go and at what time, which is not true
for all job fairs where chaos and panic are the typical emotions for the
day. We had no problem meeting with the Principals of all the schools that
we wanted to speak with and we ended up being offered a very desirable
package in a country that we really wanted to work in. Congratulations to
Ray Sparks from Search Associates who organized the event.

After a short hiatus from the international system, I chose to join Search Associates to aid in my return to the life abroad. The moment I walked into the job fair I was very glad I did. The staff and organizers were friendly and helpful. The set up (maps, info, mail boxes) was organized in an efficient manner. However for me the most important thing was how approachable everyone was... the Search staff, the school reps and the other candidates. I arrived on the final day of the fair with 6 quality offers on the table, and I am VERY happy with my choice of Universal American School in Dubai.

The Toronto location for the fair at the Delta Chelsea Hotel situated in the heart of downtown Toronto. It has proven to be an ideal location for candidates. It is a twenty minute bus or cab ride from the Toronto international airport . Special room rates are available to all candidates attending.
Although candidates are free to stay where they wish, there is a distinct advantage to staying on site in terms of availability and exposure to recruiters and your Search Associates team , all of whom will be staying at the hotel.
